Badan Kerja Sama Penegakan Hukum Uni Eropa (Europol) dan lembaga penegak hukum Jerman menangkap dua pelaku yang diduga terlibat dalam jaringan forum peretasan (hacking) terbesar dengan basis pengguna lebih dari 10 juta.
Petugas menyita 17 server yang melumpuhkan Cracked dan Nulled, dua di antara jaringan forum hacking tersebut.
Meski beberapa anggota forum terlibat dalam diskusi peretasan beretika, namun forum-forum itu lebih banyak berfokus pada kejahatan siber, pencurian password, pembobolan, dan pencurian identitas.
Forum peretasan tersebut digadang-gadang sebagai hub untuk aktivitas kejahatan siber. Mereka juga menyediakan tool peretasan canggih berbasis AI yang bisa meningkatkan efektivitas penyerangan maya.
Departemen Kehakiman AS (DOJ) mengatakan Cracked memiliki lebih dari 4 juta pengguna, 28 juta tool peretasan, dan mengumpulkan pendapatan sekitar US$4 juta (Rp65,2 miliar). Forum tersebut sudah menelan 1 juta korban di AS, dikutip dari BleepingComputer, Jumat (31/1/2025).
Sementara itu, Nulled memiliki lebih dari 5 juta pengguna dengan 43 juta tool peretasan iklan, serta pendapatan tahunan sekitar US$1 juta (Rp16,3 miliar).
“Kedua forum ekonomi underground ini menawarkan jalan pintas untuk masuk ke skena kejahatan siber. Situs-situs ini tak cuma berperan sebagai wadah diskusi, tetapi juga marketplace untuk barang-barang ilegal dan layanan kejahatan siber. Situs ini menjajakan data curian, malware, dan tool berbahaya lainnya,” kata Europol.
“Sebanyak 12 domain di dalam platform Cracked dan Nulled disita. Layanan terkait lainnya juga di-take down, termasuk prosesor keuangan Sellix yang digunakan oleh Cracked, serta layanan hosting StarkRDP yang dipromosikan pada kedua platform dan dijalankan oleh dua oknum tersangka,” Europol menambahkan.
Otoritas juga menggeledah 7 properti dari 28-30 Januari 2025 dan menyita 50 perangkat elektronik, serta uang tunai dan mata uang kripto senilai 300.000 euro (Rp5 miliar).
“Data yang disita, seperti alamat email, alamat IP, dan saluran komunikasi dari sekitar 10 juta akun pengguna terdaftar, akan menjadi dasar penyelidikan internasional lebih lanjut terhadap penjual kriminal dan pengguna platform tersebut,” tambah Bundeskriminalamt, badan investigasi kriminal pusat Jerman.
Polisi Nasional Spanyol menangkap dua tersangka terkait penyitaan Cracked dan Nulled di Valencia. Menurut DOJ, Spanyol juga membuka segel tuntutan terhadap Lucas Sohn, 28 tahun, salah satu administrator Nulled yang melakukan fungsi escrow di situs web. Namun belum ada informasi apakah dia termasuk salah satu dari dua tersangka yang ditangkap.
Jika terbukti bersalah, Sohn menghadapi hukuman maksimal 5 tahun penjara karena konspirasi memperdagangkan kata sandi, 10 tahun karena penipuan perangkat akses, dan 15 tahun karena penipuan identitas.
